Menu Plan.....Thursday? **Edited**

Quite a few of the blogs that I read do "Menu Plan Monday". I've been menu planning for a little over 3 years now. I don't do it every week, rather, I do it every time my hubby gets paid. Tomorrow is payday, and I'm planning my shopping trip. Usually, I will try to buy 2 weeks worth of food so I don't have to go shopping again until the next time he gets paid. This might have to change a little bit when Wyatt gets a little older and starts consuming more food. But for now, I can make 4 or 5 recipes and use leftovers and make it stretch out for 2 weeks.
Here's my line up for this "go round"

-Taco Salad w/ homemade salsa

-Curry Turkey Burgers w/ asparagus (Thanks to Emily from Making Dough for the recipe link)

-Buffalo Chicken Chili w/ Broccoli Slaw

-Cold Chicken Satay Noodles (p.174 of the Big Orange Book by Rachael Ray) w/ Spinach Salad **If you have this cookbook, this is a must try. It was delicious. (If I do say so myself) Also the spinach salad was delicious too. I bought a bag of spinach for the noodle dish and figured I'd just incorporate the rest of it into the salad.**

-Spanish Chorizo and Chicken Chili (p. 57 of the Big Orange Book by Rachael Ray) (Hubby saw the picture and requested that I make this) **This was also a big hit. It wasn't as good as the Buffalo Chicken Chili, but it was a nice change**

And, I'll leave you with this... This little ditty tends to be pretty catchy and Ryan has been singing this non-stop and driving me "CRAZY"!! Now Wyatt has caught on to it and started singing it tonight too.
I want you to share in my great pain and despair....enjoy

LOL

For April!

It's all in good fun! I tried to do this on Facebook instead, but I couldn't figure out how to post YouTube videos!
I love this movie, but I suggest that you watch it when it's played on TV because its fairly raunchy otherwise.

Love ya April

Miss Liberty Haven

I visited my friend Savannah & hubby Marcus at the hospital last Thursday after the birth of their daughter, Liberty.
She was born on Wed the 4th, you'll have to click on the link above for all of Liberty's stats. It was quite the crazy story too. For any mommy's that like to hear birth stories, it is a must read!
Anyway, of course, I had my camera in tow and managed to snap off a few cute ones. I just love taking pictures of newbies.

Yummy...."Sea Kittens"

They are what's for dinner tonight!

My older brother put "Greg is eating sea kittens" as his status on Facebook. My niece responded, "what the heck are sea kittens"
and he responded with this link...

I guess this is an insight into my sense of humor.
And I really think that PETA is insane.

Hope you enjoy!

Boy and Beast

These dogs have really taken a backseat to Wyatt in the last 3 years. Especially Princess Gertrude (that's Gertie's given name). This dog started out her little life with a baby book. That's right, I still have it, my little Gertie's baby book.
I still love them very much, and so does Wyatt. Thought I'd share a few pictures that I snapped this morning.
So sweet.

Clean Sweep Saturday

Friday night, Ryan and I took Wyatt over to Babu & Papa's (Ryan's parents) house to spend the night. We had an open house on Sunday and needed to spend Saturday cleaning without a 3 year old following behind us messing everything up again.
We literally worked from about 10am to 5pm straight. We barely stopped to inhale lunch. That tells you how filthy our house was, huh?
We've always had 3 bedrooms in all of our houses. Even when Wyatt was born, we set his room up in the bonus room so he could be downstairs with us. So we've always had 2 spare bedrooms. 2 spare bedrooms for us meant 2 junk rooms. Last year, we worked really hard and got one room cleaned out and moved Wyatt's bedroom upstairs. This meant that most of the junk from that room just went into the other room. The other room also houses all of our paperwork, its loosely called the office. It has a desk and a computer that we don't use, and 2 filing cabinets. The weekend before, I had worked all day on Saturday and filed paperwork. (I'm embarrassed to say that this hadn't been done in over a year) I'm a big pile person. I've never been big on neat and tidy, although I really love it when things are neat and tidy. Anyway, I always have my piles and even though it looks wild and unorganized, I can usually go right to a pile and find what I'm looking for immediately. It's quite amazing actually. :) Well, it was so messy that I was even losing track of all my piles. Somewhere lost in the shuffle was Wyatt's social security card, which made me nervous, along with other various things that had been misplaced.
So, I'm going to share some before and after pictures. I really hope that we never have a room that looks like this again. It feels so stinking good to have it clean.

AFTER:

There's nothing spectacular about this room, but it's clean. As well as the entire house...spit shined. Well it was, and I'm really really trying to keep it that way.
The open house was a bust. Not a soul showed up for it besides the realtor. But, good news, I did get a call from a realtor that want's to show it this coming Sunday. So yay, the house is clean and ready, we'll just have to vacuum and do a little tidying!
