Ok...I'm taking the plunge!!

Remember this post?
Well way back in March, I took my sewing machine in and had it tuned up. Since then, it's been sitting sadly in our "office" with the plastic still over it.
I've been wanting to do something with it, but the possibilities seem so endless.

Anyway, I've decided to make a quilt.
I know...I don't know if I'm having a girl or a boy yet, but if I have a girl...it'll be for her. If I have a boy...it'll be for some lucky future girl. haha. Because I'm making it girly.
I'm finding everything to be SOOOOO EXPENSIVE!!!
Sheesh, I give up paper scrapbooking to join the ranks of possibly an even MORE expensive hobby.
But, I thought I'd share what I have so far.
Oh, I haven't started yet. Nope. But, I've picked out a pattern...

I've picked out and purchased the material for the chicks...

and I've bought a couple of other odds and ends...
but there is a bit more that I need before I can start actually putting it together.
Isn't it cute?

I sure hope that I don't fizzle out and not get it done.
What I really NEED to be doing is catching up on the year and a half that I'm backed up on scrapbooking, before pinhead makes it's debut.

Oh well.
It's so much more fun to start a new project right?

Ryan, You Will Never Believe What YOUR Son Did!!!

He was "washing" his hands with the sunscreen!!!!
Yep...thats right, at that moment...he was YOUR son. :)

I ran downstairs really fast to take a very quick shower, leaving Wyatt upstairs innocently watching Sid The Science Kid. So, when I got out of the shower, I went to the bottom of the stairs and asked him if he was being a good boy. He said..."I'm washing my hands".....Uh Oh!!!
It might sound ok to the naked ear, but anyway I look at that, I see problems.
Well, I came running upstairs to the picture above. No, I did not think it was funny...No, that is not why I took the picture! I took the picture for proof! Nothing more! He got in some pretty hot water.
And to think, when I was downstairs taking a shower, I was marveling at how I wouldn't have been able to do this a year ago. Guess, I still can't. *Sigh*

We took Wyatt fishing today with the canoe at Devil's Lake, and HE CAUGHT ONE!!! Yay!
The weather was beautiful.
The water wasn't too cold.
Wyatt was a good boy.
AND he caught a fish!

And then...

...that fish....
...became dinner!

...AND boy was it yummy!

Happy Mother's Day ♥ Surprise

This was a Mother's Day surprise for both Ryan's and my mom. (this is also a scheduled post, so I don't know their reactions yet).
I had my first OB appointment this last Tuesday. I must say that it was veiled in "little white lies" and for that I'm sorry. But, after waiting so long to tell family, I thought that Mother's day would be the perfect time to break the news. I knew that my mom would ask too many questions if I asked her to watch Wyatt for me. So we got Ryan's grandma, "Grammy", to watch him for us. It wouldn't have looked too suspicious, except for Ryan took off with the car seat that morning and had to come home early from work. We decided that it was silly to take separate cars just for the sake of keeping our secret. So instead, I dropped him off at BK by Grammy's house, dropped Wyatt off and swung back by BK to pick Ryan up again (he needed to grab a late lunch anyway). We just told her that I picked him up after work, and that's why he was with me when we came to pick Wyatt up.
Honestly, I really don't think I could've hid this for too much longer if I tried. Well maybe if I wore Ryan's sweatshirts all summer...but even then :)

We got to hear little pinhead's heartbeat, which is always a relief. And we got to have our ultrasound on the "big" ultrasound machine. Little pinhead wasn't big enough yet to see what they needed to see, so I get to go back and have another ultrasound this week.
I'm 12 weeks pregnant, so we've known for about 2 months. You have no idea how many people have asked, during this span of time, when we're gonna have the next one.
My response..."Oh, someday".

P.S. If you're wondering where pinhead came from, it was from one of those e-mail updates that you get. When this was all very new there was some kind of reference to the fact that the baby was the size of a pin or a pinhead or something. When I told Ryan, he said, "Hey, that's what we should call it". So, Pinhead it is!

Polyvore Fun! **Edited**

Jackie did a post this morning about Polyvore. Its a website that lets you pick different pieces and plan out an outfit. She likened it to playing Barbies as a girl. Well I never was a Barbie girl, but I love clothes. (even though being a stay at home mom has put a total cramp on my "style") **Let me just clarify that I love being a stay at home mom, but Ryan and I are no longer D.I.N.K.'s anymore, (Double Income No Kids) and the funds just simply are not there to go shopping every weekend anymore! **
So, I took a few min and put together the following outfit. I had so much fun, not worrying about what it would look like "on", or the $$$ factor.

So, I added up the total of what this outfit would cost when I was all done. $4119.00.
That tank top is $1790.00 by itself.
I think that even if I was a millionaire, I would have a really hard time paying THIS for any outfit. But, isn't it adorable?
And, it took me away from reality, even if it was only for a few minutes.
